How To Grow Fruits

How we research

How each growing guide is built: which sources we use, how we write for your USDA zone, and what we do when sources disagree.

Start with the climate

Every guide begins with where the fruit is hardy, where it will only live in a pot, and where it is not worth trying. We write those limits into the opening of the guide rather than burying them.

Where the facts come from

  • University extension publications and government plant-hardiness data
  • Nursery and grower information, including variety descriptions
  • Grower forums, treated as reports of experience rather than proof

When sources disagree we say so and explain which we trust and why. Sources are listed at the end of each guide.

Review before publishing

Each guide is read for accuracy, clarity and unsupported claims before it goes live, and revisited when new information changes the advice.

What we don’t claim

We don’t invent statistics, yields or personal growing histories. If we have not grown a plant ourselves we do not write as if we had; products are only marked “tested” when they have been.
